Space Space Revolution (“SSR”) agrees to provide Rented Space at the location, dates and times outlined in the confirmation email (“Rented Time-Slot”). By booking and using a Space Space Revolution location, you (“Renter”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Housekeeping

1.1. Renter agrees to enter the building no more than 5 minutes before the start of each Rented Time-Slot and to leave immediately following each Rented Time-Slot.

1.2. Renter agrees to sweep the space and mop and return all items within the space to the place they were found, following each day’s Rented Time-Slot.

1.3. Renter agrees that absolutely no props, costumes, set-pieces or personal belongings may remain in the space between days or bookings, unless otherwise expressed by SSR. Any items left within the space will be discarded by SSR, at the Renter's expense.

1.4. Renter acknowledges that the Rented Space is monitored remotely through security cameras. For more info on our privacy policy, please email info@spacespacerevolution.com.

1.5. Renter authorizes SSR to capture and keep credit card numbers, used to pay for Rented Space, securely on file through a 3rd party credit card processing companies called Stripe and Square facilitated by the online booking systems, Fareharbor and Acuity.

1.6. Renter agrees that no bookings will be confirmed unless Renter has provided SSR payment, in full, or payment based on a signed contract outlining an agreed-upon payment schedule. No refunds will be provided for payments made by the Renter. 

1.7. If any equipment, furniture or property within the Rented Space, belonging to the Rented Space, or otherwise, are damaged, stolen or left in disarray, SSR reserves the right to recover the cost of repair, cleaning, replacement and/or any other costs that arise from direct or indirect actions made by the Renter by charging the credit card on file or by pursuing legal action.

1.8. Renter acknowledges that all spaces are equipped with security cameras. If any activities are sensitive in nature or require privacy, Renter agrees to notify SSR prior to the Rented Time Slot, at which time, arrangements will be made to ensure the privacy of those who will be working in the space.

2. Noise

2.1. Renter acknowledges that, although noise complaints are extremely rare, the Rented Space(s) may be located below, above and beside other units. If a complaint is made from a member of surrounding units, Renter agrees to immediately reduce the volume of the activities taking place within the Rented Space and contact SSR. All noise must cease, in all spaces, by 11:00 PM unless expressed, by SSR, in writing. If Renter has been asked, by SSR, to reduce volume and does not comply, SSR reserves the right to charge the Renter's card on file to cover any of the Rented Space's fines or lost revenue as a result of disturbances caused by The Renter.

2.2 If there are any voices/noises/music coming from surrounding units that are interfering with Renter's enjoyment of the space, Renter agrees to email SSR immediately at info@spacespacerevolution.com. Under no circumstances is the Renter to contact or attempt to contact anyone in the surrounding units.

3. Liability

3.1. Renter assumes sole responsibility for the health and safety of its volunteers, associates, employees, affiliates and any other person or persons who are brought into or allowed into the Rented Space by the Renter.

3.2. At no time is the Rented Space to be transferred to a third party without the written consent from SSR.

3.3. Renter agrees to cease the use of the Rented Space or its contents if anything within the Rented Space is suspected unsafe or in ill repair and to notify SSR, immediately. At which time, a repair will be made, or an appropriate refund or re-booking will be provided.

3.4. Renter agrees to hold SSR, its landlord, building owners, officers, employees, and agents harmless of and free from any liabilities, costs, penalties, or expenses arising out of and/or resulting from the rental and use of the premises, including but not limited to, the personal guarantee of provision, service, and dispensing of payment by Renter and its employees, affiliates and volunteers.

4. Coronavirus 

4.1. Renter agrees to follow any cleaning protocols recommended or required by the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government before and after using the space. 

4.2. Renter acknowledges the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the World Health Organization, Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.

4.3. Renter acknowledges that Space Space Revolution cannot guarantee that they and their guests will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. Renter understands that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of the renter and others, including, but not limited to, Space Space Revolution Staff and other renters of the spaces and their families.

4.4. Renter voluntarily seek services provided by Space Space Revolution and acknowledges that they are increasing their risk of exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. Renter acknowledges that they must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while hosting and attending their booking.

4.5. Renter attests that they and their guests:

* Are not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.

* Do not believe they have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

* Are not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities.

* Are following all Federal, Provincial and Municipally recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting their exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

4.6 Renter hereby releases and agrees to hold Space Space Revolution harmless from and waive on behalf of themselves, their guests, heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to themselves and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the space, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Space Space Revolution 

4.7. Renter understands that this release discharges Space Space Revolution from any liability or claim that they, their heirs, or any personal representatives may have against Space Space Revolution with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Space Space Revolution. This agreement and release extends to the company together with all owners, partners, and employees.

4.8. Renter agrees that any and all activities that take place in the space must comply with all public health orders set out by the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government. Renter acknowledges that they may incur heavy fines and penalties from all levels of government for failure to comply with these laws, bylaws and emergency orders. Any costs incurred by SSR for Renter’s actions or failure to comply with these laws, bylaws and emergency orders will be passed along to the renter.

5. Miscellaneous

5.1. Smoking, vaping or use of any type of flame is not permitted inside the building or within the Rented Space.

5.2. No alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs of any kind may be possessed or consumed by the Renter inside the building or in the Rented Space unless accompanied by a Special Occasion Permit (SOP). SOP's must be obtained by the Renter, at their expense.

5.3. SSR agrees to include a minimum of 15 chairs and two folding tables within the Rented Space. More chairs are available, by request.

5.4. SSR will use reasonable efforts to make the facilities, equipment and/or services available to the Renter during the times and dates set out in the booking confirmation. However, if there exists any causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, changes in the laws of Canada or our institutional policies, governmental restrictions, wars, fires, floods, storms, strikes (including illegal work stoppages, or slowdowns), lockouts, labour shortages and building system failures, the Organization may terminate this Agreement and a credit in the amount paid for the affected Rented Time Slot, less HST, will be provided to the renter.

5.5. SSR reserves the right to cancel any booking, at any time. (ie: If any booking or activity within the space is deemed to be illegal or unsafe in nature). SSR reserves the right to revoke anyone’s access to The Rented Space and cancel any current or future bookings, without notice or refund.

5.6. Failure to comply with any of the terms and conditions in this contract may result in expulsion from the rental space without refund of any rental fees and charges made to the card on file to cover any and all damages or losses.

5.7. SSR reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Any such modification will be effective immediately upon public posting. Renter’s continued use of SSR’s services following any such modification constitutes their acceptance of these modified Terms.
